Welcome to Relaxed Spider

The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns. Relaxed Spider on xaweiye.com permits stock deals while columns are empty. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls.

The relaxed difference

A few details help explain this feature. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves.

Ten columns and a stock

The following details apply here. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. The opening tableau contains 54 cards.

Descending rank placement

Keep these points in mind. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card.

Move a group

The following details apply here. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column.

Keep space available

You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds.

Bring in another row

Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations.

Collect matching runs

Here are the details for this mode. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column.

Practice the variant

Keep these points in mind. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt.
